Instagram Hidden Likes Expand to India, More Countries Included
Instagram's new hidden like feature has expanded to India and globally. Remember we have reviewed how this affects the Like count seen on posts. Six days ago we heard the first announcement of the Instagram hidden like feature, you cannot be able to see the likes a post has, except you own the account.
The new test allows you to see how it works, when you click your likes via the likers list, you can see who liked your post on Instagram, but those who liked it cannot see the count, talkless of seeing who likes your post or picture. In addition, obviously, you cannot see the like counts of other people's account again.
So people in India and more are currently experiencing this test, if you are in the test, you will notice you cannot see the total number of likes and (views) on photos and videos on your feed expect you own them.
I quote what Shah said, "While the feedback from early testing has been positive, this is a fundamental change to Instagram, so we're continuing our test to learn more from our global community".
Soon this test will be rolled out to all users since it's testing began in Canada in May 2019 and expanded to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Brazil, Ireland, and Italy in July this year.
Instagram announced feature also includes "'Restrict" which serves as a protection for your account from unwanted interactions, you can now restrict a certain message, just similar to block.
