MediaTek Helio G80 Octa-Core SoC (Improved Gaming Performance on Android)
MediaTek Helio G80 Octa-Core SoC With HyperEngine Technology has been launched, this is a more powerful processor compared to the previous MediaTek Helio G70 SoC detailed earlier this year. The MediaTek Helio G80 technology is an octa-core SoC that utilizes the HyperEngine technology to offer an improved gaming output and connectivity experience. It has so many cool specifications you need to checkout, here are what to expect.
First and foremost, no upcoming smartphone has been confirmed to feature the MediaTek Helio G80 yet, but we got some specifications from the official product page. The MediaTek Helio G80 SoC has a cluster of two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2GHz, it also has a cluster of six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz which easily handles less demanding tasks. The operating frequency is 1800MHz and it supports up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM.
More to that, the Helio G80 supports only 4G SOC which comes with the Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU for graphics crunching, otherwise known as an external graphics card. The best part is that it employs the proprietary HyperEngine Game Technology for better resource management, lagging shouldn't ever be possible for a long while.
Some cool features also coming from the MediaTek HyperEngine connectivity enhancements include in-house CorePilot, NeuroPilot, Pump Express, Tiny Sensor Hub, and Integrated VoW (voice on wakeup) technologies.

The hardware compatibility support for up to dual 16-megapixel sensors or a single 48-megapixel camera, while supported features include electronic image stabilization (EIS), Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC), and AI-assisted face unlock. Connectivity suite of the new MediaTek offering is rounded off by Bluetooth 5.0, Beidou, Galileo, Glonass, GPS, and 4G LTE.
