What is Happening Between MTN NG & Nigerian Banks? What Occurred will Shock You

 MTN Nigeria and Nigerian banks are having a big issue and that is why you can not recharge your MTN line through bank online or even purchasing through USSD from your bank. Well, this is already affecting Millions of customers, so what really went wrong? Here is all you need to know and how to bypass this problem.

If you tried recharging via USSD (Bank) or through your online banking app, you will receive this message from MTN Nigeria, "Dear Customer, our bank recharge channels are currently unavailable. Kindly recharge using physical cards. We apologies for the inconvenience. Thank you." So this was very clear that bank recharge for both data and airtime won't be possible, but MTN didn't let us know how long this will continue.

A report coming from a Nigerian Techie on Twitter (Mufasa) suggests there is an ongoing dispute between MTN and Banks in Nigeria. We are unable to verify the authenticity of this information, and so we quote the text, "MTN users in the house will not be able to buy airtime across Bank channels due to the ongoing dispute between Banks and MTN. Almost all Banks unanimously took a decision to shut down MTN vending as well as MTN on Demand yesterday night".

Using this information, we can conclude MTN was offended by the decisions from Nigerian banks to close down MTN vending services and also their MTN on Demand service. Some Nigerians online are speculating and bringing up conspiracy theories that this could be related to money deals that didn't go well, and so MTN retaliated by closing connections they have with banks in Nigeria. We do not know how long this will continue, but it obviously isn't helping their customers, Banks, nor MTN, everyone is affected.
