As always, WABetaInfo which is the popular WhatsApp feature tracker website reported that the instant messaging platform has released the WhatsApp for iOS beta v2.21.140.11 on TestFlight. So the new user interface for calling will now be similar to the FaceTime interface. Now you can quickly find whatever option you are searching for, such as the new Ring button right next to the username.
This new call interface is already on the latest WhatsApp for iOS beta update.

The report suggested that if you temporarily rejected joining a group call, then later opened the WhatsApp application and then check the group call to see if it is still ongoing, you can still join it without any participant accepting you in. So this means there might be an option to join the call, no need for a participant to be alerted you are interested in joining.
Both new features are now enabled in WhatsApp for iOS beta v2.21.140.11, so download to the latest version to have early access to this feature. It was also reported that WhatsApp beta for Android will soon get the rollout of this feature, so we all await the timeline of the rollout for Android WhatsApp beta users.
