How do the WhatsApp communities feature work? This feature gives admins more privileges such as the ability to link similar groups together. For example, instead of creating separate groups such as group 1 & group 2, both can be linked together which implies they are owned by the same creator.
As for the WhatsApp Business update, for a while there has been no option for users to set a cover photo for their profile, rather they can only set up a profile pic or add pictures on their products section. However, this is a feature that will be coming to the business version, it will surely help business accounts gain more exposure and have an attractive business profile.
The new WhatsApp Communities feature was spotted in the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.4.0.75 update, it is still currently under development though. This new feature is quite similar to the Telegram channel linked group feature that sends updates to a linked group from the channel. This similar WhatsApp feature will allow admins to send messages in one group and it automatically sends to all linked groups at once.
The report said that the WhatsApp Business cover photo feature might not extend to the regular WhatsApp application. Once this new feature is made available, business accounts will see a Camera button on the right side that will let them add a cover photo. Both the regular accounts and businesses will be able to see the cover photo.
