Dell Mobile Connect App to Be Discontinued: When & Why?
Dell will discontinue its Mobile Connect app globally soon, and it will not be available to download. This was a useful application that syncs phone text messages, calls, notifications, and more to a PC so a user can make calls and send text messages through their computers. So why and when will it be discontinued?
According to the support page of the Dell Mobile Connect app, they mention the app will be removed from its website starting on July 31st for all countries, with the exception of the US, Canada, and Japan.
As for the functionality, it will stop on November 30th, while the above-mentioned country has up to January 31st to use the app.
According to what was published on the Dell support page, they recommended that users should uninstall the app before the discontinuation date so they can enjoy a good device experience.
The Mobile Connect application usually comes pre-loaded on all Bluetooth-enabled Dell Inspiron, Vostro, G-Series, and XPS devices with Windows 10 or higher. It will no longer be the case, however, for the Alienware computers, there is a similar version of the app called Alienware Mobile Connect that offers the same functionality. It is compatible with both iOS and Android.
