Facebook Messenger now Supports Multiplayer Games During Video Calls
Facebook Messenger will now be supporting the playing of multiplayer games simultaneously with video calls. The feature is currently available on Messenger for iOS, Android, and Messenger Web. Here's what you should know.
According to a recent Facebook blog post, they will be bringing this feature that lets users play multiplayer games during video calls with their family and friends, up to 14 free-to-play games. This will not only be available on Android and iOS but also on Messenger Web which means there would not be any need to install the app to access the games.
Facebook further clarifies that games like Card Wars by Bombay Play, Exploding Kittens by Coatsink, Mini Golf FRVR by FRVR, and Words With Friends by Zynga can be played directly from the app. These games may support more than 2 players, but the majority supports just two people.
In other to access the game, users will be required to start a video call with their Facebook friend via Messenger, then will need to click on the group mode button in the center. After that, they can then tap on the 'Play' icon with access to browse through the games library and play whatever game they prefer.
If you're yet to see the new multiplayer games feature for Messenger on your app for iOS or Android, you can head to your Appstore or Google Play store to update your app. For Windows, check Microsoft Store, while WEB users do not need an app to use this.
