WhatsApp Official Sticker Maker Tool Coming Soon: What to Expect

WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows users to easily create their own stickers through the WhatsApp official app without having to make use of third-party WhatsApp sticker maker apps for iOS and Android.

The new WhatsApp sticker maker feature is already available on WhatsApp for Web, however, it is currently under development for Android and iOS so this should be expected soon for these mobile devices OS.

Additionally, WhatsApp has been spotted working on a prompt feature for iOS and Android that requires users to enter their encrypted chat backup passwords occasionally to prevent them from forgetting them. This is quite similar to when 2-factor authentication has been enabled and you are sometimes mandated to re-enter it before accessing your account.

Back to the new sticker feature coming soon on WhatsApp for iOS, this was spotted on WhatsApp beta version 23.10.0.74. Being under development, not even the beta channel users will have hands-on access to this yet.

The WhatsApp sticker maker feature might work as the web version that allows users to import an image from their local device and edit it on WhatsApp. Currently, this can be done, but with a third-party app. This new feature as shown from a screenshot by WABetaInfo shows a 'share' action sheet located under the poll option which when clicked lets users import the image from their photo library and edit it such as removing the background.
