Samsung Most Expensive Phone, Galaxy Z Fold 6 to get an Entirely New Design

Recent leaks suggest that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 may not undergo significant design changes. Instead, the focus seems to be on enhancing the smaller and more accessible Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable.

The anticipated improvements for the Flip model include a larger and more functional outer display, addressing a longstanding concern since the initial release. However, leaked information suggests that Samsung has reserved a substantial upgrade for next year's flagship foldable, possibly named the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

According to the leaked information from tipster Revengus (@Tech_Reve), it appears that Samsung is planning a major upgrade for its next year's Galaxy Z Fold model, possibly called the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

One of the significant changes mentioned is the aspect ratio of the external display, which will be different from previous models. This change in aspect ratio will likely lead to adjustments in the external form factor and overall design of the device. Additionally, the aspect ratio of the inner folding display is also expected to undergo a substantial change.

The current Galaxy Z Fold models have tall and narrow displays, with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 featuring a 23.1:9 aspect ratio, while the Google Pixel Fold has a broader 17.4:9 aspect ratio on its external display. The wider aspect ratio of the Pixel Fold's external display makes it more usable for regular smartphone content, while the current Galaxy Z Fold's outer display narrows down the content to half of the screen.

With a change in aspect ratio for the external display, the inner folding display of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may have a more tablet-like appearance compared to the book-like format of the current generation devices. For example, the Google Pixel Fold features a wider inner folding display with a 6:5 aspect ratio, whereas the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a taller 10.8:9 aspect ratio. The wider aspect ratio on the Pixel Fold allows users to view videos without needing to flip the device horizontally, which is required on the current Galaxy Z Fold models.

Regarding the camera, it is mentioned that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will likely retain the same primary camera sensor as the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to feature the Samsung ISOCELL GN3 50-megapixel sensor, which is also present in the current Galaxy Z Fold 4 model. Although the sensor may be slightly dated, it reportedly offers noticeable improvements in imaging quality compared to the camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Please note that the information provided is based on leaked details and should be treated as rumors until official announcements are made by Samsung.
