WhatsApp Features "Send for Admin Review" in Latest Beta Version

WhatsApp has added new features to its latest beta update — the ability to start a voice call in a group, and also be able to send messages to group chats for admins to review. These features are expected to be released to the public soon.

WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.16.19 is available to some beta testers, they will be able to test the new voice chat feature which is a new way for group audio calls to be made, the icon has also been replaced with a waveform icon. When tapped, this notifies other group members and they can start a voice chat in which they can join as participants.

WABetaInfo shared some screenshots of how the feature works. Looking at their feature, it shows that when you initiate a voice chat, members will be allowed to join and speak just as a regular audio call does. However, for Idle calls, they will be automatically closed after an hour. Just as the limit of the call is 32 members, this also applies to the new feature.

The previous WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.16.18 added a new toggle in the group settings for members named Send for admin review that lets members send a message to group admins to take a decision on if it should be approved or not.

With this new feature, when enabled by the Admins, they can see reports of certain messages sent to them by group members for review. This can include spam messages, or abusive words, so the administrator can delete such when seen.
