Google Pixel Watch 3 Unveils 60Hz Display Support, Unchanged Processor
Google Pixel Watch 3 will be launched on August 13th, 2024, that is about 5 days from now. The watch focus this time is the two display sizes and 60Hz display as opposed to the Watch 2 30Hz display. Here's what we know so far.
Google Pixel Watch 3 Specifications (Leaked)
Report suggests that the Pixel Watch 3 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 5100 chipset (SW5100) and a Cortex M33 co-processor. It will still feature an unchanged 2GB of SDRAM and 32GB of eMMC flash storage which are currently available on last year's Pixel Watch 2.
The two new Pixel Watch 3 sizes are the 41mm and 45mm versions which will feature a 60Hz refresh rate display, and the 60Hz rate would be able to drop to 1Hz when the AOD is being used to save battery and improve the life.
This also applies to the peak brightness getting as low as 1 nit for low-light use. However, the peak brightness is 2,000 nits for outdoor usage.
The Pixel Watch 3 will feature a slightly improved battery capacity - 307mAh for the 41mm model, and 420mAh for the 45mm variant. The battery life would be able to last up to 24 hours with the AOD (Always on Display) being turned on, and up to 36 hours on battery power saving mode.
